This is an original vintage lithograph of pink Camelias and White Anemone, Plate 29 — after the work of French still-life painter Benoît Chirat (1795–1870), engraved by Robert Bénard and published full-size by Artistic Picture Publishing Co. Inc. (A.P.P. Co.), New York, circa 1930s–1940s. Two available. Unframed.

Benoît Chirat was a French artist celebrated for his exquisite still-life paintings of fruits, flowers, and botanical subjects. The engraving was made by Robert Bénard (1734–1794), a French master engraver best known for producing over 1,800 plates for Diderot and d'Alembert's celebrated Encyclopédie — one of the most important publishing projects of the Enlightenment. In the late 1930s and 1940s, Artistic Picture Publishing purchased original works and reproduced them full-size for the American decorative print market — pieces that today regularly sell for $50 to $100. The paper appears to be linen stock, giving the print a particular warmth and texture. Light age toning throughout; no tears, stains, or folded corners.
